Softhesys is an Italian startup founded in 2023, with a team that has been designing and developing complex software platforms for over twenty years. The freshness of a startup, the solidity of those who know what works in production.
Our story
Softhesys S.r.l. was founded in 2023 as an Italian startup focused on innovative AI-based cloud solutions. Behind the name, however, is a team with over twenty years of experience designing and developing complex software platforms for industrial, building and automation domains.
We believe AI is a tool — not a goal — and that its value comes from meeting real domain knowledge, data and processes. That's why we work closely with our clients, from discovery to deployment, keeping platforms evolving over time. No projects delivered and forgotten: every client is a continuous evolution.
Our flagship product, Datathesys, is the concrete proof of this approach: intelligent monitoring and control for multi-domain automatic systems, with measurable production results (-15% energy, -20% waste on real wood manufacturing cases).
The second, DMSS, explores a completely different area: multi-UAV mission support with AI target detection and MAVLink guidance. Two products, two sectors, the same philosophy: technology at the service of the domain.

Our method
We work in short cycles with continuous feedback. No specs frozen for six months before writing code, no 18-month waterfalls delivering something different from what was needed. 2-3 week cycles, end-of-sprint demos, incremental deploys.
Every project starts with a structured discovery: who will use the system, what decisions it must support, what data exists and what needs to be collected, what operational and regulatory constraints are non-negotiable. Without this phase no technology produces value.
We believe in integration, not replacement. Our systems coexist with the client's legacy systems, speak standard protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, MAVLink) and existing APIs. Transforming doesn't mean throwing away.
And above all, we keep platforms alive over time. A system that doesn't evolve is a system that dies. For us the production deploy is the beginning of a collaboration, not the end of a project.
